Happy Moments

My ten year old daughter made this card after my idea book release party. I just had to share her creativity. This card was made from scraps I had left over from another card set.

Busy

Wow!! It has been busy here.  We have been working in the computer lab at school to help get the computers going and time has just flown.  We went to the funeral home/funerals twice this week with one more to go tomorrow night. I have not had a chance to post but  I will. I am working on getting new stuff for my idea book release on the 28th.  I am excited about the new idea book, papers, and all sorts of new stuff.  I will be posting next week with pictures of items I have created.

Till next week..... Happy Creating

7 Reasons I love CTMH

I created this layout to show why I love CTMH. I used my top 7 reasons.  The card with my name on it came from the box when I first received my welcome kit.  It is just like a birthday or Christmas when I receive a shipment of goodies.  The 7 reasons are: 1) Family, 2)Helping others realize their creativity while relaxing, 3) Friends, 4) Time for Me, 5) Relaxation, 6) Precious memories I preserve, 7) Creating.

Tuesday Tidbits

I made these cards for a few of the students in our congregation that are getting ready to participate in fall activities.  I used the paper packet we have called Game On and then added the color of Sunny Yellow to make the gold for the school colors black and gold.  I also used patterns from our wonderful how to book Wishes.  I hope you enjoy these. They were quick and easy.

Beginning of School

Yesterday was the first day of school for my two girls.  They had a good day for the first day.  I hope it continues to be good days.  I think going to school where mommy went to school helps too.  I do not have their first day of school pictures developed and scrapbooked yet but I will get to it.  I hope your children had a great first day of school too.

August Online Sale Day 8 (last day)

I made this card box using the Jingle paper packet and my creations box.  The inside holds cards, envelopes, pen and small notebook, tags, and small cards.  These are the cards that I made using the Jingle paper packet as well.  These are great as gifts or as your own card box. You are ready to go for your Christmas cards with these boxes.  I got this idea from a Close To My Heart friend and I know I'm not sure which one. This was made last year.  I want to say it was Debi Barber.

This is a layout that I created using the Daydream level 1 kit. These kits are great for the new scrapbooker, the scrapbooker that is behind and needs a little fast help to get caught up, and the established scrapbooker.

August is Back to School Month

August is Back to School Month so I thought I would begin my blog with learning.  I love to learn new techniques, tips, and ideas. How about you?  My first technique happens to be my favorite so far.  I just love to random stamp.  I will show you by making a 5x7 card using the Something Splendid stamp set.

1.First take the largest stamp and random stamp your area in a triangle pattern.

2.Second use the next to largest stamp and stamp in a pattern.  Here I used a technique called second generation stamping.  It is simple, just stamp your inked stamp on a scratch piece of paper then your area you are working.

3.Third use the next smaller sized stamp and stamp your area. I again used the second generation technique here.

4. I used the smallest sized stamp and stamped using the second generation technique as well.
The second generation technique gives a lighter hue of the ink used.  I used the four colors that go with the paper pack Splendor.

5. Adhere the paper to its position and embellish.

6. To embellish this card I stamped the big flower, cut it out, and sponged with a darker blue around the edges.  I then added the center of the flower.
You could also pop the flower or add ribbon or brads just as easy.
