Birthday Card

This birthday card was made for a girl in our congregation. She turned sixteen and is having a party on Saturday. Her mom was decorating using black/white striped zebra pattern and splashes of pink.

I made this card using:
#1385 White Daisy Cardstock
#Z2105 Black stamp pad
#Z2193 Cotton Candy stamp pad
#Z2305 Black marker
#Z1393 Mini-Medley Accents Collections Black ribbon
Solo stamp "S" - unavailable now but you can use any alphabet stamp set you like
#Z616 rubber brayer
Rubber band
#Z1380 Spray pen
#Z1039 Create a Shade Pearl Paint
#Z2293 Cotton Candy re-inker
Water

To create this card:
I placed a rubber band on the rubber brayer and inked the brayer in black ink.  I then rubbed it over the white card. Next using the spray pen and the marks on the side- I mixed water to the 7th line, and cotton candy re-inker to the 8th line, and 3 peas size drops of pearl paint. I shook it and then sprayed it on the card and let dry.  Be sure when using and spraying with the spray pen that you protect your surface and clean the pen immediately. This will allow your creation time to dry.  Next, I stamped the "S" in cotton candy ink and cut it out. I then used the word sweet from the stamp set and using my black marker wrote the number 16.  Finished the card by tying a small know and adhering it to the "S".

Schools Out Again!

Well,

I guess I shouldn't have typed that sentence about not having the phone call from school.  I just got the phone call the only 12 month employees are to report tomorrow at 9:00 AM.  I guess this is the light at the end of the tunnel and they may be able to go Friday.

Snow Days/Schools Out

Well, it has been three days of the snow and ice and my girls are still at home.  They have played outside off and on for the past three days. As the snow is melting there is more ice so they haven't been able to play outside as much as that first day.  They are definitely getting cabin fever and quite frankly I am a little as well.  I have not had a phone call from the school as of yet so they may be going tomorrow.

On the crafty side of the note, I have placed an order of some great new products to play with and as soon as the FedEx truck can make it through all of the snow and ice I will be able to play and start working on some great new stuff.

Keep watching as I am trying to make some additions to my blog posts.  Here is what I am considering:
        1. A weekly Christmas card (I do not want to miss out on cards next year).
        2. Stamp of the month artwork (more than just one item).
        3. A Monthly Calendar page (by the end of the year you will have a calendar all complete and ready as
a gift to give or keep for yourself).
        4. A challenge of some sort.

My plan is to have one of these items a week and then as I have other things post those as well.

I do not have anything to post as of right now but I hope to have something by the end of this week.

Happy Snow Days!!!!
